HONGi is a Vienna based startup that disrupts the sleep industry by providing individualized mattresses. The user answers a set of 9 questions regarding body constitution and sleeping habits, and then the algorithms recommend the best mattress configuration, to be delivered and tested at home.
Key points:
1. Develop an online configurator that collects the user info.
2. Set up an appealing output, by taking in consideration the vast variety of combinations of indicators and materials.
3. Increase the conversions.

UX

Because the key selling point of the website is the customization of the mattress, the general flow should gravitate around it. The configurator represents a set of 9 questions about sleeping habits, body indicators and material preferences (if any). After the user responds to these questions, the algorithms recommends a specific model of the mattress. The answers are editable, so the user can go back and modify them as desired.

The rest of the website flow is designed as for a typical e-commerce platform: with the possibilities to add to cart and a one-page checkout, which will be presented later.

As usual, the second step after desiging the user flow, the wireframes come on stage.

One of the most difficult parts of the project was to present the personalized information for each user, while still conveying the idea that (for couples) the different sides of the mattress come united under one cover.
